The Brewhouse, Lincoln
Believed to be a former brewhouse, this grade II listed building was in a very poor state, with only the north end precariously still standing.
The brief is to provide an artistsí studio, rebuilding what has collapsed while preserving as much of the original structure as possible. Brick and stone has been salvaged from the site, and what remains of the existing structure has been stabilised. Where materials have not remained on site, care has been taken to match them carefully, so the result will represent what was lost, while providing a studio and south facing sunroom.
